Gordon N. Ray, a graduate of Indiana University, was closely associated with the life and work of William Makepeace Thackeray. Robert Anning Bell was a British painter who also made stained glass, colored bas-reliefs, and mosaics in the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Cathedral.
